The Norwegian government has recommended that instead of buying a new multi-role fighter (it was expected to pick between the Eurofighter Typhoon and the F-16 Block 50N) it should instead refit the 58 existing F-16A/Bs to carry bombs. (Currently, they can only attack ships or other aircraft.)--Stephen V Cole
