The Russian armor museum at Kubinka includes numerous interesting vehicles, including an M46 captured in Korea, an M48A3 captured in Vietnam, an M60A1 delivered by an Iranian defector, and a Magach-4 (a US M48 modified by Israel to use a 105mm gun). Most interesting is a German World War II Maus super-heavy tank. The West has long known that two prototypes of this vehicle were in tests and captured by the Russians. One story is that the one in the Kubinka museum is a third prototype which was actually completed, but a more likely story (there are several) is that it was built from the two prototypes (which the Germans tried to blow up) and six other unfinished copies of the Maus.--Stephen V Cole
