Japan has narrowed its selection for a new aerial tanker aircraft to the Boeing-767 or the Airbus A310. They expect to make a final decision next year and buy four aircraft (modified into tankers) by 2005. They might add another tanker or two in 2006 or later.--Stephen V Cole
