For decades, the U.S. has invited foreign military officers to attend American staff schools and war colleges. As a result, most of these schools usually have at least one Israeli officer in attendance, and several Arab ones. The school staffs have noted, over the years, that the Israeli and Jordanian officers usually get along quite well. The Israelis and Egyptians are usually on friendly, but not chummy terms. All other Arab officers tend to try very hard to ignore the Israeli students.
