Israel's economy has been going through some hard times of late, and this has resulted in efforts to cut government spending any way possible. One cost cutting measure is to buy cheaper, American style camouflage uniforms ("cammies") for support troops. Because these cammies are made in such large quantities by so many manufacturers, they are just about the cheapest military uniforms on the market. Israeli combat troops do not wear camouflage uniforms, although Palestinian gunmen often favor camouflage style uniforms. So as long as Israeli support troops stay out of combat zones, they should be OK.
