Turkey will invest between $250 million and $500 million in the Joint Strike Fighter project, gaining access to key information. The JSF is to enter production in 2008; Turkey needs to replace 226 F-16s starting about 2015. The JSF is thought to be the most likely Turkish choice.--Stephen V Cole
