Area of Operation (Dec. 25, 2007) Sonar Technician Submarines 3rd Class Anthony Morandi observes evening colors on Christmas aboard the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Philadelphia (SSN 690) during a port visit in the Middle East. Philadelphia is on a regularly scheduled deployment as part of USS Enterprise Carrier Strike Group conducting Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
