A CH-47 Chinook helicopter with Task Force Iron Knights begins to lift a sling load during an airlift operation at Roberts International Airport, Dec. 12, 2014. The airlift was to transport incinerators to a new Ebola treatment unit built in support of Operation United Assistance. Task Force Iron Knights is comprised of element of the 2nd Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armor Division deployed as part of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance. United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation to provide command and control, logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in West African nations.
