The ISAF force now has 2300 men on the ground in Kabul, with 15-20 military transports a day landing with troops and supplies for the peacekeeping force. Repairs on the Kabul airport had to be completed before the number of landings could rise to more than 5-10 a day. ISAF troops are making more patrols around Afghanistan, which are well received by the population. Outside Kabul, American and allied troops continue to hunt down groups of Taliban and al Qaeda fighters. This is running into problems with local politics, where one tribe, or warlord, will accuse a foe down the road of harboring Taliban or al Qaeda. Loyalties are so murky in some parts of the countryside, that it's difficult to tell who is really on who's side.
