A group of soldiers caught some Taliban preparing to blow up a bridge 300 kilometers southwest of the capital. Earlier in the day, two soldiers died when their vehicle went over a landmine.
President Karzai, on a visit to Pakistan, gave Pakistani officials a list of Taliban leaders living in Pakistan and demanded that these men be arrested.
