In central Uruzgan province, rival warlords fought over control of a road, leaving at least twenty dead.

A bomb went off in a bus, 550 kilometers southwest of the capital, killing 17 civilians. The Taliban are suspected, as they are terrorizing the population to support them. 

Taliban forces attacked Afghan border troops, resulting in eight Taliban killed and two (apparently Arabs), captured.
