President Karzai publicly denounced the UN for its reports on the extent of Taliban control and operations. Karzia pointed out that the Taliban operations have all been on a small scale and all have been defeated. The Taliban are operating mostly from bases in Pakistan and these are now under attack by Pakistani soldiers and police.
