NATO-led peacekeepers in Bosnia destroyed 163 tons of unsafe and outdated ammunition belonging to the Bosnian Serb army over the last weeks, but SFOR estimates that there are approximately another 800 tons of unsafe ammunition that has yet to be destroyed. 

Meanwhile, Kosovo's UN governor suspended two generals and 10 other officers of the Kosovo Protection Corps (KPC), an ethnic Albanian-dominated successor force to the guerrilla Kosovo Liberation Army. Former KLA chief of staff Agim Ceku immediately blustered that the decision was unacceptable and would "not be taken into consideration". - Adam Geibel
