In Bosnia, the Croatian-Moslem and Serb armed forces have reduced their strength from 19,200 to 12,000 (4,000 Serb, 8,000 Croatian-Moslem). Eventually, the Serbs will merge with the main national army and all units will be integrated. Bosnia wants to bring its tiny armed forces up to NATO standards so they can attempt to join NATO. Once a member, they would be protected from attack from neighboring Serbia and Croatia.
