The new EUFOR peacekeeping contingent will officially take over military operations in Bosnia December 2. The NATO (and primarily US-led) SFOR (Stabilization Force) has been working with EUFOR since early last summer. Military sources report the transition has gone smoothly. Some 7,000 EUFOR peacekeepers are already deployed with SFOR.
