China continues to move more troops and police into areas bordering North Korea. China refused an American request to cut off oil supplies to North Korea, mainly because the oil has a high Paraffin wax content, and stopping the flow would cause a wax buildup in the pipe that would require expensive repairs to clear once the oil got moving again. China believes cutting food supplies would have greater impact on North Korean officials. The Chinese know this because police regularly nap North Koreans sneaking across the border, and these refugees tell of increasing hunger in North Korea. China wants the North Korean government to get their economy straightened out before every thing collapses and China has to deal with millions of starving refugees.
