Indian's are encouraged by the Pakistani leaders unprecedented criticism of organizations backing Kashmiri independence. General Musharraf, the Pakistani leader, singled out religious organizations that solicited money for Kashmiri rebels, but then spent the funds on other things. This sort of criticism is unprecedented in Pakistan, but also overdue, as an increasing number of "Kashmir Independence organizations" are nothing but scams or cover for other types of activity (political or criminal.) Meanwhile, in Kashmir, rebels suffered 14 dead in several incidents.  In Bangladesh, a bomb went off in a Christian church, killing nine and wounding 13. The majority of the population is Moslem and there has been an increase in Moslem fundamentalist activity.
