Pakistani Islamic radicals have lost considerable popular support following the collapse of the Taliban. Many in Pakistan have felt that the Islamic radicals were more hot air than substance. The  radicals were not able to get a lot of people on the streets for protests during the early weeks of the war in Afghanistan. The Pakistani government, taking advantage of the new situation in Afghanistan, joined India in hailing the Afghan peace negotiations in Germany. In Karachi, Pakistan, police arrested three Afghans for firing an anti-tank rocket at a police station. In Kashmir, rebels ambushed a car and killed a Hindu judge and three other civilians.
