There are still 5,000 Afghans trying to get into Pakistan as refugees. Some are fleeing food shortages because of the continuing drought, but there is still fighting and banditry that is driving people out. The Pakistanis are not letting any more Afghans in. and still have troops along the border looking for fleeing Taliban and al Qaeda fighters. Pakistani police seized a large cache of weapons in Quetta. The police said the weapons belonged to terrorists sponsored by India. Pakistan has imposed a curfew in areas bordering India. Firing across the line of control in Kashmir left on Pakistani civilian dead.
