Al Qaeda operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan have apparently run out of money, and skilled leadership. While Osama bin Laden, and a few other prominent terrorists have eluded capture, many more have not. Interrogations reveal a lack of money among the terrorists, and a shortage of new recruits, and training camps to turn them into deadly operatives. While Islamic conservatives are still a powerful force in Pakistan, Islamic moderates, a far larger group, are fighting back. The media is more critical of Islamic conservatives, and their calls for Islamic law and war against infidels (non-Moslems.)
