Ten more died in religious violence in the Malukus. Off shore, the navy intercepted seventeen boats carrying weapons to Moslem extremists on the islands. Confiscated were 797 firearms, 550 edged weapons (mostly machetes) and 447 bombs. Police and soldiers continued to search for, and seize, illegal weapons in the Malukus. In the capital, a bomb went off in the Attorney Generals office complex. There were no casualties.
