For illegally providing Iran with technology for building nuclear weapons, the US has imposed sanctions and penalties against the Taian Foreign Trade General Corporation of China, the Zibo Chemical Equipment Plant of China, the Liyang Yunlong Chemical Equipment Group Company of China, China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), the China Precision Machinery Import/Export Corporation (CPMIEC) and the North Korean firm, the Changgwang Sinyong Corporation. All these forms, except for the Taian Foreign Trade General Corporation, are repeat offenders and are already subject to US sanctions for those offenses.
Police have greatly increased the number of raids on homes suspected of having satellite TV dishes (which have long been illegal.) The foreign satellite TV shows in Farsi are seen as a major cause of unrest in Iran. This is somewhat true, as the Islamic conservatives have shut down most reform minded media.
