An Iranian rebel group based in Lebanon (the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq) claimed that it's fighters launched sixteen Katyusha rockets against the capital. Katyusha is a generic name for Russian made artillery rockets. Most likely these were the lightest (107mm) Katyusha type. No confirmation from the government, but there were other reports of three missiles landing downtown. One or two people were probably wounded. These rockets have a range of only eight kilometers, so they were fired from within Iraq.
