Israel: June 1, 2005

As part of the peace (ceasefire) deal with the Palestinian Authority, 400 more Palestinians will be released from jail. However, two of five Palestinians recently arrested for planning a June 2nd suicide attack, had been released last February, as part of the same deal. Past experience has shown that half the terrorists released from jail, go back to terrorism, no matter what they say or promise to the contrary.  The Palestinian Authority is trying to get all the Palestinian terrorist groups to make peace, but many of the terrorists refuse. It's unclear if the Palestinian Authority is willing to use force to stop these terrorists from making attacks on Israel. So far, the answer has been mixed. The Palestinian Authority has used force in some cases, but several deadly terrorist attacks inside Israel could inflame Israeli public opinion against making any deals with the Palestinians.
