A Palestinian suicide bomber from the West Bank, detonated explosives outside a mall in Israel, killing himself and two Israelis.  Another 30 people were wounded.  One of the smaller Palestinian terrorist groups, Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility. This was the first Palestinian terrorist attack in Israel since February 25th. There have been several attempts at such attacks during this period, which were prevented by Israeli counter-terrorism forces. This included a car bombing attempt today, against a West Bank Jewish settlement, which failed because the bomber appeared to screw up.
