Israel is facing growing resistance from conservative Israeli groups that oppose withdrawal of Israeli settlers, and troops, from Gaza. Everyone is aware that pulling Israeli troops out of the West Bank did nothing to stop suicide bomber attacks in the late 1990s. Going back in and hunting them down did. Most Israelis expect the same thing to happen with Gaza. Palestinian terrorist groups like Hamas seems to agree.
