North Korea is again claiming areas in the Yellow Sea off the west coast of Korea that have long been controlled by South Korea. North Korean warships have begun using the disputed sea areas. The north warned that it would attack without warning if it's new claims were threatened. South Korea has not yet responded. Last year there were several clashes between North and South Korean warships in the areas over a similar dispute.
