The meeting between Japanese and North Korean leaders ended with both sides pledging to establish diplomatic relations, for Japan to pay reparations for past misdeeds, for the north to stop committing terrorist acts, testing ballistic missiles, building nuclear weapons and for everyone to be real nice in the future. The north also apologized for things like kidnapping 11 Japanese citizens during the 1970s and 80s (for use as instructors for North Korean spies).
