The PKK rejected Turkeys amnesty offer. Basically, the PKK said the Turk offer was a sham. The amnesty became law on August 6 and offers reduced sentences and in some cases pardons to PKK fighters who surrender. Other rebel groups can also apply for amnesty. The PKK statement said the PKK would end its ceasefire if Turkey continued to run anti-rebel operations.
