LURD is attacking in several areas, and now controls the Sierra Leone border area. Some of the government soldiers have fled back to the capital, where some are in trouble for rowdy behavior. So far, nearly 40,000 civilians have fled the fighting. Some Liberian soldiers are also reported fleeing into Sierra Leone.
