The Ivory Coast government is hiring experienced Liberian gunmen to fight in the Ivory Coast civil war. Refugees have spotted at least 50 of these armed mercenaries moving into Ivory Coast. The Liberian fighters are being paid $500 each, and promised ample opportunities to loot in rebel held northern Ivory Coast. Many of the Liberian mercenaries are recently demobilized teenage boys.
