At least 15 people were killed when troops and Maoist rebels fought in Bhojpur, about 225 kilometers west of the capital. Security forces and rebels have also been battling since the 12th in Accham, about 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. Heavy casualties were feared in the clash but there were no death toll figures. A cold snap has swept over the area and killed at least 23 people across the nation.
