Four gunmen burst into the house of leading opposition politician Harry Marshall and killed him. This was considered a political killing and lots of people are upset. 

Troops and police arrested a group of 13 Chadians in the northeast, in the wake of tribal violence that has left at least 110 dead. The mounted Chadians were taken after a brief gun battle, in which their leader, a woman, was killed.
