Fighting between Christians and Moslems in the northeastern town of Numan has left at least fifteen dead in the last week. The fighting was triggered by a Moslem trader killing a Christian for stealing. Local criminals then joined in to loot and chaos followed. Homes and Mosques have been burned down. Police reinforcements have been sent, but have been unable to stop the unrest.
