In Chechnya, police detected and defeated a car bomb. China and Russia concluded another arms deal, continuing the Chinese purchases of the latest Russian weapons that began in the early 1990s. Since then, China has purchased over ten billion dollars of Russian weapons since then. These include over a hundred Su-27 and Su-30 fighters, 15 Il-72 transports, a hundred RD-33 jet engines for China's new J-10 fighters, SA-10 SAM systems (including 100 missiles), two destroyers, four Kilo class submarines, 50 T-72 tanks and 70 APCs. Much technology has also been sold.
