Russia announced that it would withdraw many of the elite Russian army units, leaving only the 42nd infantry division and the interior ministry's 46th brigade (a light infantry unit.) Meanwhile, army engineers found and defused 20 bombs found along a hundred kilometers of railroad tracks.
