The government confirmed that it would spend six billion dollars this years buying weapons. This means that, for the first time in years, over half the sales of Russian weapons manufacturers will be to the Russian military. Russian weapons exports are about four billion dollars a year. These two countries have played hardball, and gotten a lot of military technology from the Russians as well, so that these weapons can be built in China and India under license.
