Heres a report that is not at all surprising, but it does demonstrate how oil politics have become a central issue in the Sudanese civil war. The Sudanese government said that it has no plans to share oil revenue with the SPLA. Not only no, but heck no. Apparently someone somewhere (a diplomat with a knack for careful leaking?) has suggested that Khartoum and the SPLA explore some kind of agreement on oil production.
