Archives

September 21, 2005: In the south, villagers killed the  two marines they were holding prisoner. The two marines were seized as they chased after men who had just shot someone dead in a drive-by attack. The villagers insist that the marines did the shooting, and that the government is using plainclothes soldiers for such operations.

September 20, 2005: The Islamic violence in the south is directed against the economy, as well as non-Moslems. As a result, the economy is suffering. Islamic terrorists discourage any business at all on Friday, the Moslem holy day, and try to close permanently "un-Islamic" businesses like bars, theaters and the like. Most of the people hurt by this are Moslem, which does not bother the terrorists, who are on a mission from God.

September 18, 2005: The state of emergency in the south has been extended for three months.

September 17, 2005: An army patrol in the south was ambushed by Islamic terrorists. Four soldiers were wounded, and the terrorists got away.
