Come and gone, but the message lingers. US President George W. Bush spent four hours in Uganda. He spoke with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and focused on his African AIDS initiative. But remember Uganda is once again sparring with Sudan over alleged Sudanese support for the LRA rebels in northern Uganda. Bushs visit sends a message to Sudan. The US regards Uganda as a major player in sub-Saharan Africa.
